‘Intelligent leadership, how government strategy can unlock the potential of smart cities in the UK’ report sets out what the UK government can do to support the role of smart cities in solving the urban issues fundamental to creating Society 5.0. The report articulates the benefits of a UK government strategy on smart cities.
The APPG report articulates why Government must form a coherent smart city strategy to ensure a joined-up approach between businesses and local government as well as across departments.
The recommendations were published by The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Smart Cities, following their inquiry into the benefits of a UK government strategy on smart cities.
